Our team was entrusted with a comprehensive renovation of the church kitchen (Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, Vancouver) , a vital space for community gatherings and events. The goal was to revitalize the kitchen, enhancing both its functionality and appearance while maintaining budget efficiency.
Initial Assessment and Planning
From the outset, we conducted a thorough assessment of the existing kitchen. The scope of work included repainting the hardwood cabinets and their doors, refreshing the walls and ceilings, upgrading countertops, and replacing the sink. We meticulously planned each phase to ensure seamless execution and minimal disruption to the church’s activities.
Cabinet Refacing and Repainting
To address the cabinets, we proposed refacing and repainting the cabinet cases rather than a replacement. This approach not only extended the lifespan of the existing hardwood cabinets but also offered a significant aesthetic upgrade. We carefully refinished the cabinet cases, installed new soft close Blum hardware and installed new door faces. The result was a modern, cohesive look that breathed new life into the kitchen.
Countertop and Sink Upgrades
The existing laminate countertops in two large counters were outdated and prone to wear. We upgraded them to durable steel tops, enhancing both functionality and durability. Additionally, we replaced the old sink with a Custom-made kitchen sink, ensuring it met the kitchen’s needs and contributed to the overall design.
Steel Splash backs: To complement the stainless-steel countertops and provide added protection, we installed steel splash backs around the sinks. These additions are both practical and stylish, making cleanup easier and contributing to the kitchen’s modern aesthetic.
Wall and Ceiling Refresh
To complete the renovation, we refreshed the walls and ceilings with a new coat of paint. This not only brightened the space but also created a clean, inviting environment that complements the updated cabinetry and countertops.
Value-Added Services
In addition to the requested renovations, we offered cabinet refacing at no extra cost. This added value significantly improved the kitchen’s aesthetics and longevity, showcasing our commitment to delivering exceptional results without exceeding the budget.
